Wicked on Broadway Review
More about the show:
Long before Dorothy arrives, there is another young woman, born with emerald-green skin—smart, fiery, misunderstood and possessing an extraordinary talent. When she meets a bubbly blonde who is exceptionally popular, their initial rivalry turns into the unlikeliest of friendships … until the world decides to call one “good,” and the other one “Wicked.”
The performances in Wicked are truly outstanding, with the lead actresses (Jennafer Newberry as Glinda and Lissa deGuzman as Elphaba) delivering powerful and emotive performances. The set design and special effects are incredible, adding to the overall magic of the production. I really, really enjoyed the backdrop throughout. It’s stunning!
The show has a strong message about acceptance, friendship, and standing up for what’s right, making it a great choice for families and theater-goers of all ages.
Overall, Wicked on Broadway is a must-see musical for any fan of the Wizard of Oz story or musical theater in general. The show has a fantastic story, great music, and exceptional performances. It’s a magical and entertaining experience that will leave you humming the songs long after the curtain falls. The show is highly recommended!
